Mail2World Conduct Policy
Mail2World is a messaging technology company that provides messaging solutions and services designed
for personal and business use. As we are concerned about safeguarding the interests of our membership, we have established principles governing the acceptable use of our email
system, which members agree to when they create an email account. For a more detailed description of these policies, please see our Terms of Service agreement. This Acceptable
Use Policy is a quick reference for the proper use of the service; it outlines what actions constitute system abuse, what penalties will be incurred for abuse, and what recourse
members and other Internet users have to protect themselves from abusive practices by others.
Unacceptable Practices
The following list of actions constituting system abuse is not exhaustive; members should use our Member Support Form for clarification on any issues.
- Using the auto-responder, vacation reply,
forwarding or POP retrieval features with other Web-based mail
providers that have the same options, to prevent the creation
of infinite "mail loops".
- Providing false data on the registration
forms and surveys, including the fraudulent use of credit
cards.
- Using the service in connection with
chain letters, junk email, spamming or any duplicative or
unsolicited messages (commercial or otherwise).
- Harvesting or otherwise collecting
information about others, including email addresses, without
their consent.
- Creating a false identity or forging an
email address or header, or otherwise attempting to mislead
others as to the identity of the sender or the origin of the
message.
- Transmitting through the service
unlawful, harassing, libelous, abusive, threatening, harmful,
vulgar, obscene or otherwise objectionable material of any
kind or nature.
- Transmitting any material that may
infringe the intellectual property rights or other rights of
third parties, including trademark, copyright or right of
publicity.
- Transmitting any material that contains
viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots, or any
other harmful or deleterious programs.
- Interfering with or disrupting networks
connected to the service or violating the regulations,
policies or procedures of such networks.
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to
the service, other accounts, computer systems or networks
connected to the service, through password mining or any other
means.
- Interfering with another member's use and
enjoyment of the service or another entity's use and enjoyment
of similar services.
Protective Measures
- We are not an anonymous mail service. We
track the IP address of the system we receive mail from and
include it in the message header information, which appears as
X-MAILFROM-IP: [.....(numbers).....]. To find the
header information of a message you're reading, click the Show
Header button located near the top left of the message
area.
- We maintain a full login IP history for
each account.
- Our SMTPs are not public relays.
- We do not allow numeric characters at the
beginning of an Mail2World email address; therefore, any
login name beginning with a numeric character is a forgery.
Corrective Measures
- The IP address of any problem account
will be forwarded to the appropriate department for further
lookups and tracking; this includes, but is not limited to,
cross-referencing an IP address with the logs of the Internet
service provider that owns the address.
- Complaints from any domain regarding
unsolicited email (Spam) will be investigated and the
offending account will be subject to termination.
- We reserve the right to terminate the
account of any member who violates this policy or the Terms
of Service agreement.
- We reserve the right to legal action
against any person who sends unsolicited mail; such action
includes, but is not limited to, charges for the use of our
bandwidth, disk space and CPU usage.
- Although personally identifiable
information is confidential (see our Privacy Policy),
we will divulge this information to legal authorities when
necessary.
Reporting Abuse
We are dedicated to eradicating unsolicited mail and other abuses of the system as outlined in this policy and the Terms of Service agreement. All complaints and queries can be forwarded to our abuse coordinator at abuse@Mail2World.com.
- To report a case of system abuse, please
include the full unedited content of the message and the full
message header in an email to us. Without the header
information, we cannot track the originating IP address. To
find the header information of a message you're reading, click
the Show Header button located near the top left of the
message area. Copy and paste the entire header into your
email to us.
- When submitting a complaint, you are
giving Mail2World express consent to log into your account to
examine the problem. We will reply to you regarding your
complaint as soon as possible.
